By Brian Tran on February 4, 2010Size: 4 GB Verified Purchase Oh my freaking Bagel-making Goddess, I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy! If you are reading this, I was just like you at one time: Hoping to save a couple bucks and get a nice sized flash card for cheap. I ordered two of these craps; one for me and one for my girlfriend to use in our photography class. After I excitedly tore open the package and thrusted it into our Canon Rebel, I painfully found out that you really do get what you paid for.We had just taken about 20 photos of us messing around outside, when I received the fateful error message notifying me of a “CF Error”. At first I thought it was just because I forgot to format it correctly or something. I then formatted it through the camera and proceeded cautiously. Everything was working fine, so I started taking more photos of us. It wasn’t long before I got the error message again. I was getting really worried and a little pissed. Our class project shoot was coming up and so was our anniversary. I wanted to be able to depend on this card to at least get us through that before returning it. I thought to myself, maybe I was doing something wrong. I was previewing pretty quickly after each shot. Maybe that was the cause of the problem . Oh how wrong I was.I went home and tried to figure out what the problem was. I mean, there were some good reviews of this card. Some people got it to work. Why can’t I? I tried everything. Shooting in bursts then previewing it, turning it off while it was transferring to the card, etc. The only time it got the error was when I previewed it too early. So I thought that was the problem. We went out for our anniversary and since the card hadn’t given us any problems since I stopped previewing each shot, I thought it would be ok.Read more › 13 Comments Was this review helpful to you? JOBY Gorillapod Flexible Tripod (Black/Charcoal) and a Bonus 17 of 21 people found the following review helpfulWorks as advertised! By Garfcadet on June 19, 2014Color: Charcoal Verified Purchase I’m not sure why some of the reviews were so disappointed about the smartphone attachment. I have both a Galaxy GS4 and an iPhone 5s. The attachment has just enough spring-range to hold both phones. And there seems to be another 1/2 to 3/4 ” range in it so it would accommodate something like a Samsung Note 3 as well. Also it attaches easily to the Gorilla pod. I’m guessing that either this attachment has been redesigned and is much improved, or the people who were unhappy with it got defective attachments. But no complaints here!Quick add-on: I just looked at the product picture as shown on Amazon and I notice that the smartphone attachment DOES look different – so apparently there was a redesign. Also, my iPhone 5s with a slimfit case is exactly 2.5″ wide and the attachment holds it JUST firmly enough to be fine. If your phone is LESS than 2.5″ wide – probably won’t work. By Barbara Joyce on November 14, 2014Color: Charcoal Verified Purchase I’l come back later with a more complete review. Just received this tripod and iPhone mount. For those who might be wondering, the mount I received is different from the one shown in the photo. I have an iPhone 6 Plus, which is not in a case of any kind. The phone fits perfectly in the supplied mount, and the mount fastens firmly to the tripod. I don’t think the mount would work if you have your iPhone 6 Plus in any kind of case, as mine just barely fits in it with no case. The tripod also works great with my Canon point and shoot camera (not SLR) without the adapter. Comment Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback… Thank you for your feedback. By William on February 11, 2014 Verified Purchase This ring light is much better than I expected. Much brighter than some of the other reviews here suggest. It is not a flash, it provides steady constant light from the array of LEDs. It fully illuminates your target area for macro shooting and is even bright enough to provide front/direct illumination for close range portrait. Easy to use, light weight at a great price. YONGNUO YN-E3-RT E3-RT Flash Speedlite Transmitter for Canon,D2_KNXT_1_fZ2

YONGNUO YN-E3-RT E3-RT Flash Speedlite Transmitter for Canon 1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulYes, you can trigger Canon 600EX-RTs from a Nikon with this and the latest firmware By Anthony Montgomery on April 27, 2015 Verified Purchase This is awesome. I have a Canon version and the Yongnuo version. I keep the Canon on my 7D Mark II and the Yongnuo on my Nikon DF and guess what – I can control my Canon 600EX-RTs (manually) with the Yongnuo on my Nikon. The display was a little sluggish when I first got it and I thought I should send it back but I upgraded the firmware and it works great. You have to press the test button if you turn the camera or trigger off in order to re-sync it with the flash but other than that its nice to not have to take my Nikon flash (woefully underpowered compared to the 600). Canon PowerShot SX60 HS Digital Camera 32GB Ultimate Bundle 13 of 13 people found the following review helpfulSo far I love this camera! By Sharon on December 4, 2014 Verified Purchase Wow! I just upgraded from a Canon SX 20. This camera is amazing so far, but I’m not a professional photographer so keep that in mind as you read this. My dining room table is about 9 feet from a sliding glass door. I took several shots from there through the double glass (not particularly clean), about 30 feet into the yard where the bird feeders are. I used the “auto” setting and zoomed to the feeders. I didn’t expect much because I was shooting through double glass from inside the house, the wind was blowing a bit, and the bird was moving. I was amazed at what I got under those conditions. I’ve attached the photo which I cropped a bit. I haven’t tried other settings, but the buttons seem more intuitive than my old camera. I immediately downloaded the app for the iPad and set up Wifi. It worked perfectly the first time through. I have a lot more to experiment with but so far I am pleased! (window.AmazonUIPageJS ? D700 By Amazon Customer on September 23, 2010Style Name: 18-55mm VR LensPackage Type: Standard Packaging For the cost of this camera, I don’t think you can get anything better. The low light performance is off the charts. As a wedding photographer I regularly shoot with Nikon’s high end professional equipment and I was amazed how close this camera is to a pro camera. Now let me get specific. In order to compare I took a look at 100% files out of each camera I own.Which camera excels Nikon D3100($Cheap) VS. D300($1600) VS. D700 ($2,700):* Lens = The D3100 is the only camera that comes with a lens at it’s normal price* ISO Performance = Tie between D3100 and D700! (It could be Nikon’s new processing but the JPEG looks fantastic I was shooting D3100 on 6400iso with very little noise at all)* Low Light Focusing = D700* Focus Speed = D700* External Buttons & Controls for Pros = D700* Menu Navigation = D3100* Ease of Use = D3100* Megapixel = D3100 (14.2)* Sensor size = D700 (Much more important than megapixels but I won’t get into this)* Can use older lenses with functionality = D700 & D300* Video = D3100 of course! 1080P video looks amazing.* Frame Rate = D300 at 6 photos a second* Weight = D3100 (light as a feather)* Ergonomics = D700 (big enough for all my finger)Lens:The lens is a kit lens, it will work outside but not so great in low light. The Vibration Reduction will help indoors but Vibration Reduction can’t stop a child or pet in motion indoors. Consider buying a 35mm 1.8dx AFS for around $200 and you will be super happy with this camera.Video:I purchased the 3100 specifically to shoot video, so I put on Nikon’s brand new 85mm 1.4g Nano lens and shot video with it. The lens costs more than double the camera but I wanted to see how the 1080P video looked.Read more › 59 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback… Thank you for your feedback. KabelDirekt (35 feet) HDMI Cable (1080p 4K 3D High Speed wi 8 of 8 people found the following review helpfulKabelDirect HDMI Top & Flex Series Cables Review By Anthony Parenti on April 8, 2014Size: 3 feet Verified Purchase I have just swapped to a new Dell Inspiron i7 laptop with windows 8.1 and plugged in my old 16′ generic HDMI cable to my Integra 9.8 Receiver and found that all I got were delays and the slightest nudge or movement of my legs caused skips and lags. If I tried to type in word or any other program things quickly got unlistenable. My first thought was that Dell had gone cheap and perhaps a wireless rig like Chromecast would provide for audio connectivity for my PC to my AV system. After Google tried to upload my music library, (5K songs) and failed, all while providing mid-fi sound with limits to what programs it would play with,I researched the KabelDirect HDMI cables on Amazon. It was encouraging to see positive reviews accross the board, transfer speeds of up to 18 BPS, and low cost as well.Chromecast was quickly returned, and for the same price I purchased a 15′ Flex series cable for my Laptop, 3, 3′ Top series cables for my Iview DVR/Tuner, Roku 3, and Sony BlueRay player and a 6′ Top series cable from the 9.8 to my Phillips LCD. Fantastic results as follows:The Dell laptop is now error free. If I physically move the HDMI plug in the socket, yes I can get it to skip, but no issues with moving my legs, setting my laptop down or having multiple programs open, typing or surfing. Output from Itunes, Foobar 2000, Pandora 1, Sky Radio, and others is outstanding. Performance from my other sources was improved, and I am using HDMI for audio for all sources except from the LCD tuner which I use Coax, (If I I am watching on-air and also recording to the Iview DVR). The video quality from the Iview (upconvert on-air to 1080P is excellent, and BlueRay out put from my Sony BPD S570 is excellent as well. I’m glad I got rid of cheap HDMI cables and for the price of a Chromecast, updated every element of performance of my AV system! Thanks KabelDirect!!! 1 Comment Was this review helpful to you? However, there are some cases where a fancy, well-build cable is really worth it.I bought a generic Mini Display to HDMI cable for the purpose of streaming video files from my MacBook Pro to my A/V Receiver. It’s an elegant solution for getting video AND audio out of your Mac with only one cable. My general cable worked fine for a few weeks, but its casing wasn’t very heavy and due to frequent usage, it became damaged and stopped working. I was very careful with it, but it wasn’t well built and normal usage showed its limitations.I decided that since it was an important cable, and because I would be handling it frequently, maybe it was time to try a heavy-duty cable. The Belkin is expensive, but it has a thick rubber casing and feels substantial. I doubt that the data transmission is much different from the cheaper generic cable, but if your cable breaks easily, then issues of fidelity are irrelevant.I’m guessing that most people who are in the market for a cable like this have a similar use in mind. Most of us are probably streaming content from a laptop to our main media system. If you’re like me, you don’t like leaving a long cable running across the living room, and so you have cause to plug, unplug, coil, and uncoil the cable again and again. In this case, it really makes sense to buy a heavy duty cable, like t

Celestron 72022 SkyMaster 8×56 Binoculars : Camera & Pho 38 of 41 people found the following review helpfulCelestron makes great binoculars, period By Edward Caccia on January 30, 2009Style Name: 72022 I really have to take issue with the reviewer who claimed that all Celestron products are crap. That is a blanket statement that just doesn’t hold water. No doubt he had a bad experience and is unhappy, but as a life-long binos lover and owner of 3 different pairs of Celestron binos, I could not disagree more!I know my binos and wouldn’t spend money on a bad maker 3 separate times. I also own other brands including Pentax, Nikon, Leupold and Olympus. My Celestrons are the equal of any of them. I’m not interested in Swarovski’s and Leica’s at all; it totally offends my sensibilities to think of blowing a grand or 2 on a pair of binos… It’s nothing short of silly for most people to do so, especially in light of the terrific performance and value these “next tier down” brands deliver! Times are tough: be smart and save your money.Roof prism binos are my favorite. I own the 10×28 Celestron Noble, which is quite likely the best compact 10x bino for the money. Just OUTSTANDING quality, performance, and value there. I also own the 8×42 Regal LS. Same as the Noble, only better! The Regal is amazingingly clear and beautifully made, great quality thoughout. Overall, it is easily the equal of many binos costing much more. Every bit as good as my Leupold Pinnacles, and those are saaa-weeet! The last of my Celestron’s is this Skymaster model, which is just a blow-away for observing the night sky. Or most anything else! Good astonomical binos are a pleasure and so easy to break out and use vs. a big old telescope. The 8 x 56mm size means you get get a HUGE 7mm Exit Pupil (objective lens divided by magnification power = Exit Pupil).Read more › 4 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Bestlight Ultra High Power 160 LED Video Light Panel with S 17 of 17 people found the following review helpfulIs this the future of photographic lighting By J. Chambers HALL OF FAMETOP 10 REVIEWER on March 24, 2014Color: 160 LED Traditionally, continuous-on lights have been used for movie cameras and camcorders, but not much for still photography except for studio photography. For situations that call for artificial lighting, especially for balanced fill-flash, I’ve been using a Nikon SB-800 flash with my Nikon DSLR. I’ve been very pleased with this setup, but there are two problems: brand-name flashes are expensive, and it’s almost impossible to preview the effects of the flash before taking the shot. With an LED light panel like the Bestlight Ultra High Power 160, those problems are minimized. It’s an inexpensive lighting source, and with the light continuously on, I can see exactly what effect the lighting has on shadows and dark areas.I’ve been experimenting with the LED light for the past week with my Nikon DSLR and my Canon G10, and I’ve been pleased with the results. The manufacturer says that the color temperature of the LEDs is 5600K. This is close to typical daylight, and it’s fairly close to the color temperature of my SB-800. If you don’t like the color using the LEDs, there are three diffusers which adjust the color temperature. If you’re shooting JPGs and don’t like the results, I recommend shooting in RAW mode, where you have more control over the white balance in Photoshop or whatever image editing software you use. I’ve also done a little photography using the LED in combination with my SB-800 flash. You can get very some pleasing effects using the LED lighting off the camera to fill in shadows that the on-camera SB-800 can’t reach. The Bestlight light panel appears to be well made, and it has several options for powering it. I’m using AA alkaline batteries, but for long-term regular use, I would use rechargeable AAs.Read more › Comment Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback… Thank you for your feedback. DRIFT HD GHOST-S DIGITAL VIDEO ACTION CAMERA CAMCORDER : Cam 21 of 22 people found the following review helpfulMost features for the money but video quality still has limits By C. W. Kistler on April 20, 2014 Pro: Sturdy, lots of nice featuresCon: Use video settings with care. Higher settings don’t always produce a better image. After initially giving this camera a much lower rating, I did some more experimenting with it. Based on what I learned, I’ve upgraded my rating and rewritten part of this review.First the pros: the Ghost S is sturdily made and comes with an extensive set of built-in features. The video tagging, view screen, rotating lens and remote control are especially useful. The body is waterproof to a depth that will satisfy most needs (divers will need to add a waterproof enclosure). The battery life is exceptional and the recharging time is reasonable. The range of video settings is impressive (or would be if they mattered – more on that below). The 12mp still photos are about what you get from an average phone camera. The sound is fine as long as you use a decent external mic outdoors. (The built-in mic can pick up very loud wind noise in even the slightest breeze.) The camera and remote are Wifi enabled and work well together. I haven’t tried using the smartphone app, so I can’t comment on that. The buttons on the camera body are somewhat clumsy and difficult to use with gloves on, but with the wrist remote I can live with that. There’s no shortage of things to like about the Ghost S. Excluding the video quality and going on features alone, I’d give it 5 stars. So why did I give it 4 instead?Initially I was shocked at the horrible video images I was getting. Even at higher settings (1080 HD/60 fps/high bit rate) it looked nothing like the promo videos Drift claimed were shot with the Ghost S. After some email exchanges with Drift’s customer service (who were prompt, helpful and gracious), I decided to reset everything and start over.Read more › 3 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 5025UB 1080p Widescreen, HDMI, 12 of 12 people found the following review helpfulYou would have to spend a lot more money to do any better, and it would not be a night and day difference. By DGM on January 10, 2015 Verified Purchase The 5025UB is spectacular. I have spent many hours watching a friends Epson 3020, and it is also a fine machine. I was thinking of buying that model, since they are at a very attractive price at this time. However, when I found out about the 5025UB at just under two thousand dollars, I decided to take a chance. I was gambling on the idea that it would essentially be a 5030UB without the glasses and in an all white case. It appears that I guessed correctly. The 5025UB bumps image quality to the next level over the 3020, mostly due to black level. My room is not totally dark, I have lights on so that you can see where you are going. My screen is an inexpensive Daylight manual pull down screen with a gain of 1.0. I prefer to run the 5025UB in “Natural” mode, which is also one of the ECO modes (lower lamp brightness and longer lamp life). That setting feels most real to me. Since I am driving it with my computer, I also ran a calibration on it with Color Munki, but the difference was minor. Natural mode is very close right out of the box. The look and feel of the unit is much more impressive than the product picture indicates. It is a very solid machine, comes with a second lamp, once you register the unit and send in the form. I have owned several different projectors over the years, starting with the huge cathode ray tube variety, and I am very impressed with this machine. Personally, I think it is the best quality you can get for just under two thousand dollars. Don’t forget top notch service and support. Comment Was this review helpful to you? Fujifilm X-T10 Body Black Mirrorless Digital Camera : Camera 81 of 86 people found the following review helpfulExcellent small camera By Michael McKee on June 22, 2015Style Name: Body OnlyColor: Black I got to try a pre-production model for a few days and immediately put my order in to B&H. This is a great camera with a couple of exceptions.Bottom line:If you want an excellent stills camera that compact, light weight and reasonably priced. This is a great choice. It has very good autofocus, excellent color and a distinctive look. The camera is very customizable but can be beginner friendly. Fuji also makes superb lenses, which, in the end, may be more important than bodies. Cameras are improved every year. Those are the plusses. If you have big hands, want to do sport or wildlife photography or do high-end video, look elsewhere.Update after one month:I’m really loving the Fuji. I find it a bit small when using the 55-200 lens and am looking forward to getting the metal grip that Fuji promises. The rubbery coating on the body is great, very grippy and doesn’t stain. I picked the camera up after picking blackberries. The grip didn’t absorb the purple color that stains just about everything else. It’s actually an improvement over the standard Fuji surface.Taking the time to fully customize the buttons really helps. Fuji left off the ISO dial, but by programming that function to the front dial, I can can click in the dial then change ISO without moving the camera from my eye. Excellent.Extended Review:Fujifilm photos look subtly different from those from other camera makers. That makes sense as they use a different sensor. I like the difference, especially when converting to B&W, which I think is one of Fuji’s strong points. By Alaskan Sprite on December 3, 2014Color: red I received my lens set today and it is Awesome. I got this product as just a fun novelty, something to play around with, but it wasn’t out of the package 5 minutes before my husband borrowed it to read numbers on a microcircuit board of his school project using the macro lens. I received it very quickly from the time that it was ordered and it has already proven to be a very useful thing. Very happy with it. (window.AmazonUIPageJS ? olloclip ACTIVE LENS iPhone 6/6 Plus : Camera & Photo,D2_KNXT_1_fZ2

olloclip ACTIVE LENS iPhone 6/6 Plus : Camera & Photo 3 of 3 people found the following review helpfulVery awesome lens does what I need By Nicholas Calderone on July 20, 2015 The olloclip line of Lenses have been a monumental addition to our mobile photography accessories. With the these lenses, you open your field of view much wider than what you can just see through the lens of your iPhone. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to use most of the product line from olloclip and am very excited to test out the newest addition. The Active Lens was designed with the adventurer in mind. It comes with both an ultra-wide and telephoto lens equipped and ready to capture any important events along the way. Like the other newer lenses that olloclip has released, the Active Lens also comes with a wearable pendant so you can have it with you wherever you go.The wide angle lens is actually an ‘ultra’ wide angle lens and captures an ‘action camera’ field of view. olloclip has a few other lens options that include a wide-angle lens. So, what makes this one stand out? I was wondering that myself and when I started using it, I found out. The standard olloclip wide-angle lens has a field of view that double the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus’s field of view – about 120-130 degrees. The Active Len’s Ultra Wide-Angle lens has a field of view that extends past 150 degrees, which makes it come in between the standard wide-angle and a Fisheye lens (180 degrees). If you were to compare it to other cameras, the Active Len’s Ultra Wide-Angle lens makes the iPhone rival a GoPro action-video camera without giving you the distortion of a Fisheye lens. Now, you will see in the examples below that there is a bit of a Fisheye effect, but it’s still a crisp, clear image. Now, if you have the adventurous spirit, and you are interested in trying out the Active Lens, you should also consider the ollocase.Read more › (window.AmazonUIPageJS ? Canon EOS 70D EFS 18-135mm IS STM Kit + Canon EF-S 55-250mm ,D2_KNXT_1_fZ2

Canon EOS 70D EFS 18-135mm IS STM Kit + Canon EF-S 55-250mm 23 of 23 people found the following review helpfulKiller start up bundle By Richard on May 22, 2014Style Name: Bundle with 18-135 + 55-250 IS STM Lens Verified Purchase I’ve used the 7D and 5D, mostly for video and I like this one better than those in that context. Firstly, it’s up to Canon standard quality which is a very good thing. It’s solidly well made even though I’d prefer a metal body but given my proximity to salt water this may be a good thing.I like several things about the 70D over the 7D. Firstly is the touch screen. Whilst I still prefer the traditional video camera approach of having control switches on the body, I can get to any function I need, on screen, with a touch of my thumb. Not perfect but best I’ve seen from Canon.Next, the flip out monitor screen. “So you mean I don’t have to lie on the ground to get that shot?” Nope. Nor do I have to guess at what I’m getting when the camera’s over my head. Why hasn’t Canon made this standard for all of their bodies? Probably because some luck head will be careless and break it off. I may still do that but for the moment, I love it.Best for last. Audio meters on screen whilst recording. Worst thing about DSLRs and video is the “guess and forget” approach to sound. I’d rather like a headphone jack on the body but until that happens I can live with this. They all don’t have this, why?I like the 18-150 lens but I’d like it to be faster. My XH A1 lens is 20x and starts at f2. The 55-250 has been good at getting in really close but has real problems with vignetting at the far end. You won’t die from it but it’s a long way from L series. The fact that it’s made if polycarbonate doesn’t bode well for longevity. In the end it’s a bundle with good value for a great kit. The vendor worked out a few niggles quickly and proactively. I appreciate that.If you want a DSLR for video, this is it 1 Comment Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback… Thank you for your feedback. Nikon D5300 24.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3 527 of 549 people found the following review helpfulStunningly Good! An Insane Value! By 7 on November 25, 2013Style Name: Body OnlyConfiguration: BaseColor: Black Verified Purchase I got this camera as an upgrade to my beloved D5100 so the bar was pretty high and so this review is often D5100 vs. D5300. I’ll be frank. The D5300 outclasses the D5100 so substantially that it has utterly obsoleted the D5100. Ignore those who say that the D5300 merely provides an opportunity to pick up a D5200 or D5100 for a bargain price. No. The D5300 is now the ONLY camera in the Nikon D5xxx line. It has changed the game. Don’t bother counting pennies, this camera is underpriced at full price. The fact that I am sincerely comparing images from this $800 camera body to my D800E’s images truly says it all. Please allow me to just get into the Pros and Cons:PROS:1) PHENOMENAL IMAGE QUALITY! AT LOW ISO THE D5300′S IMAGES ARE ON PAR WITH THE BEST CAMERAS IN THE WORLD AND THAT IS NO EXAGGERATION WHATSOEVER. I can’t believe there is still a debate going on about the efficacy of Anti-Aliasing filter removal. I’m sorry, but the difference is so noticeable there is no debate. And moire was a myth even on the D800E, which I do also own. I guarantee you that you will find more moire in a D5100′s or D7000′s images than you will on the D5300. Color and saturation from the D5300 are exceptionally good versus ANY camera at any price point. Now, I will still take the D800E’s images over the D5300′s but it is not at all night & day. They are actually surprisingly close at low ISO.EDIT 2013-12-09: Photographing cats a lot I am catching a little false color on shiny fur. Nothing of concern to me though.2) Focus point spread (area of image with AF sensor coverage) is MUCH greater than in FX (“full-frame” sensor size) cameras. The D5300′s AF point coverage extends left-right top-bottom much farther than FX cameras.Read more › (window.AmazonUIPageJS ? Motorola Pet Scout66 Wi-Fi HD Pet Monitoring Camera : Motoro 15 of 16 people found the following review helpfulStill a work in progress for me… By S. McGee TOP 500 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on September 20, 2014Color: Black Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What’s this? ) Between the cats’ tendency to treat the camera as a very cool new form of toy (solved by the judicious application of duct tape) and my own struggles to make this work where I would prefer that it work — on my MacBook Pro, rather than being required to use my smartphone (Android operating system) which otherwise I only use when I’m traveling and that now is beeping alerts at me constantly), this has still to completely prove itself to me as a device. On the positive side, even for a relative technophobe, I didn’t find it impossible to install. The wi-fi connection gave me a few problems, and I may yet go back and try to do a complete reset and see if I can’t get it running more efficiently (and remove the damn alerts). I have three cats, all of whom were adopted/rescued at different points in time, and who coexist uneasily in spite of having done so for a decade now, and on at least one occasion while traveling I was able to spot a spat brewing in the part of the living room where they spend a lot of their day time hours and avert it with a stern warning. One cat did a backflip in astonishment. Less to my credit, I’m afraid I also freaked out the cat sitter when she came to feed them, reminding her about some medication for one of the cats…Streaming is great, but I’m not thrilled about the idea of paying even a minimal amount for video recording and storage. Cats sleep a lot and just aren’t ready for movie close-ups. Add up the sum that Motorola has conveyed is what it will be charging, and that’s still the cost of three new books for my Kindle…I’m tempted to try to use this to help with the rescue of four stray neighborhood kittens, if I can figure out how to protect it from the weather and keep it close enough to a power source/wi-fi.Read more › 2 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Contour ROAM2 Waterproof Video Camera (Blue) : Camera & 4 of 4 people found the following review helpfulThis is the second ROAM2 I’ve purchased By Nicolas Siemsen on September 14, 2013 Verified Purchase I bought a ROAM2 a while ago, a black one, for my wife and I to wear when we are riding bikes together. But after she got in an accident (hit by a car) while riding separately from me and I had the camera (thankfully the driver stayed, but I realize this is the exception not the rule these days) I decided owning a second one for her to wear full time was inexpensive insurance. At least if one of us is hit while we are riding separately we will be sure to have info on the driver so we can pursue it.Thinking about buying a third to use as a dash cam.Since I’ve reviewed the first camera in more detail I’ll just keep the rest brief and say that these are awesome cameras, with good video quality, great build quality, very easy to use, durable and water proof in rain showers and such. I originally put in an old micro SD from my previous phone. Apparently the formatting was different and caused the battery on my phone because it was forever trying to open the storage device. I could have reformatted the card but I came across this micro SDHC. I installed into my phone with no problem. It holds tons of music and even more photos/videos. The speeds to save, open, process are fast and I have had no problems at all. It also comes with a USB reader. The tablet’s functions, from going from app to app and from video to streaming to the Kindle reading app is pronounced.Although the 16 GB is great for most purposes, I would only recommend this for the higher-end phones where you’ll see a noticeable difference than on a budget phone. I’d also recommend the 64 for the better tablets– I don’t think you’ll see a performance difference if you went with a SanDisk or a Kingsto

Carson OperaView 4x10mm Ultra Compact Binocular (OV-410): C 20 of 20 people found the following review helpfulGreat optics for viewing indoor concerts and shows By Eagle Vision TOP 1000 REVIEWER on December 2, 2014 Verified Purchase What’s in the box?Binoculars, 4x10mm (2 ounces)Carrying strapDrawstring caseUseThis is a set of compact binoculars for theater viewing. The objective is fixed and gives you 4x magnification. From 100 yards, you essentially are seeing what you would at 25 yards. The eyepieces do not have a diopter correction. A center dial allows the user to focus upon objects as close to 2 feet and for objects realistically from 50 yards away without losing detail. The case is a thin lightweight plastic. The finish is not weather resistant so outdoor and wet conditions such as an outdoor concert is not optimal for this particular set of optics. There is only one side where the strap can attach. Because of the light weight its physical durability will be limited. It will likely not survive a drop of more than 2-3 feet.Lenses are not multicoated. In lower light settings, such as a church, the visibility will be less than that of larger objectives. There are no lens covers or lens protectors so one must be cautious. There is no option for a neck strap so long periods of use can be fatiguing. This is lighter than a set of traditional opera binoculars/viewers.An ideal modification that would make this set perfect would be built in retractable lens covers, slots on each side for neck carry and a minimally increased objective size to allow for more light transmission. However, despite the minor quirks, I prefer these over compact binoculars or traditional opera glasses. These are the smallest usable set of binoculars forth purpose intended. Two thumbs up. I highly recommend them. 1 Comment Was this review helpful to you? One of ours, after good number of years, had the keys start to stick, and soon after the unit stopped working (The other one is still going strong!). Nikon D5200 Digital SLR with 18-55mm & 55-200mm Non-VR L,D2_KNXT_1_fZ2

Nikon D5200 Digital SLR with 18-55mm & 55-200mm Non-VR L 609 of 652 people found the following review helpfulSolid performance, good value, Nikon nails it again! By Yano on January 20, 2013Style Name: w/ 18-55mmConfiguration: BaseColor: Black This camera may be the best APS-C in its class so far. After Nikon’s quality control issue with the full-frame D600 (sensor oil spot problem), Nikon may be able to win back its trust with this new release, again aimed at enthusiasts and amateur photographers. Being an amateur photographer for years and have invested quite a sum in Sony, Canon and Nikon bodies and lenses, I myself settled with Nikon in personal preference. I would say all three brands got its personality (good and bad), especially with Sony pushing the translucent mirror technology. The D5200 is a step up from the D3200 as an entry to mid-level body. Very solid performance and thank god it does not suffer the fate of the D600. The D5200 produces extremely good quality images just like the D3200. Both the D3200 and D5200 share the 24MP sensor resolution, with the difference being the light sensitivity in high ISO situations. Both cameras are able to produce extremely well results in terms of photo quality. I am usually able to get better image results from the D3200 and D5200 compared with Sony’s A65 and A77 in actual use. Sony somehow made the older A55 easier than the A65 and A77 at getting a clean and noise free shot (maybe due to sensor difference). So Nikon wins here, I would say the image quality of the D5200 is as good as the well acclaimed Canon 60D in most cases easily done (with the D5200 at a higher resolution). So the major difference of the D5200 compared with the D3200 is the focus sensor and exposure meter sensor. The D5200 borrows the technology from the bulkier D7000 and presents 39 AF points including 9 cross-type AF points for accuracy and a more precise exposure metering system (D3200 have 11 AF points, 1 cross-type).Read more › 54 Comments Was this review helpful to you? 6′x9′ Chromakey Green Screen Backdrop Background Fan 74 of 76 people found the following review helpfulGreat for learning about green screen and chromakey By Will Kalif on September 24, 2009 Verified Purchase If you want to dabble in the video art of chromakey or green screen this is a terrific low cost way to get started. The fabric is great and the color is very uniform. Nice way to get started without spending too much money. The picture shows stands for the green screen. You don’t actually get stands. It says this in the description and I mention it just so you can be sure. I rigged up my own stands. 6 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback… Thank you for your feedback. No problems there. And after unfolding the backdrop and hanging it inside of my studio, I found this product to be exactly what I paid for – A perfect/inexpensive green screen that wasn’t torn or stained, and was the perfect size to fit against one of my studio walls. The backdrop was bright and vivid green and didn’t give off that horrible reflection/glare that plastic or paper green screens give off.And just to test it out, I shot a mini video clip with my DSLR and imported it into iMovie using the “green screen” function. Absolutely no problems whatsoever.Overall, this was a good buy for me. Maybe some are into this kind of stuff more professionally than I am, but this chromakey does everything that I want it to do, and for a good price.Just as some advice, be sure to have a sturdy frame to hang your backdrop onto, and some good clamps so you can stretch out the backdrop to reduce wrinkles.
